Congressman Robert Andrews to Speak at Richard Stockton College on Hospitality and Tourism in New Jersey on Mon. Oct. 25

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ Rep. Robert Andrews, eight-term Congressman representing the First Congressional District of New Jersey (Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties) will give an address at Stockton College on Monday with significant statewide interest.
Andrews will speak on The Importance of Hospitality and Tourism in New Jersey before an audience of hospitality and tourism industry leaders, as well as Stockton faculty, staff and students. A question and answer session will follow.
The address will take place on Monday October 25, 2004, 2:00 p.m. in the Townsend Residential Life Center adjacent to the residence halls near the Stockton Sports Center. Parking will be available on the regular campus lots. Lots 4 and 5 are near the Townsend Residential Life Center.
Andrews, a leading voice for fiscal restraint, education and national defense, is one of the highest profile members of the regions Congressional delegation.
The site of the speech and the topic are fitting for Andrews, who has served his entire Congressional career on the Education and the Workforce Committee. He is also the Democratic leader and ranking member on the subcommittee on Employer-Employee relations, which has the responsibility for health insurance, pension and labor laws of the nation. He was recently appointed to the House of Representatives Select Committee on Homeland Security. This new committee is responsible for house oversight of the Department of Homeland Defense and the funding allocations associated with that Department.
Andrews, 45, is a graduate of Bucknell University, and has a law degree from Cornell University. He is a resident of Haddon Heights.
