GALLOWAY TWP., NJ The sisters of the Epsilon Epsilon Chapter of Tri-Sigma Sorority at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey will be offering an event known as Running for Robbie. Running for Robbie benefits the Robbie Page Memorial, Sigma Sigma Sigma's Philanthropy. The Robbie Page Memorial was established in 1951, and is a long-range program that helps develop and support play therapy for terminally ill children. The Memorial was founded in 1951 shortly after the young son of the then national president of the organization, died from polio. Currently, the philanthropy directs the proceeds of these benefits to support play therapy floors, libraries, and toward other resources for terminally ill children. The University of North Carolinas Chapel Hill Hospital and the Children's Medical Center in Dallas, Texas are currently receiving the proceeds of the Robbie Page Memorial.
This event will be held on Oct. 21, 2006 at the track just outside the Sports Center at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Running for Robbie begins at 9:00 A.M. and ends at 11:00 A.M. Donations in the amount of $5.00 are appreciated and any additional donations are welcome. Refreshments will also be offered, the proceeds of which will also go to support this worthy cause. This event is open to the public. E-mail Beth Davi at BethDavi@comcast.net for additional information or to obtain donation information.
