Living in a world driven by technology, I wanted to learn and contribute to cutting-edge advancements that enhance our daily lives through automation and innovation. My deep interest in mathematics made the pursuit of degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics a natural fit. These disciplines allow me to explore complex problem-solving techniques and theoretical foundations that are essential in developing efficient technological solutions. I also have minors in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems and Digital Literacy/Multimedia Design that complement my interests.
What other opportunities have you had at Stockton?
I have been fortunate to engage in a variety of enriching projects and opportunities. I worked on research projects with esteemed professors like Dr. Helen Wei (Associate Professor of Computer Science) and Dr. Bradley Forrest (Associate Professor of Mathematics), focusing on artificial intelligence, computational mathematics and graph theory. A highlight of my Stockton experience was participating in a 10-day Language and Culture program at the National Taipei University of Education in Taiwan. I also volunteered for many service projects, including New Student Day of Service, MLK Day of Service, Math Mayhem and the G. Larry James Legacy Bike Ride, which allowed me to develop a sense of civic responsibility. Furthermore, I attended numerous conferences and had the opportunity to present my research both within the institution and at cross-institutional levels, enhancing my presentation skills and expanding my academic network.
