New Jersey Child Welfare Training Partnership - Southern Region
Working in collaboration with the New Jersey Office of Training and Professional Development (OTPD) and the Department of Children and Families (DCF), the New Jersey Child Welfare Training Partnership (NJCWTP) provides in-service training to workers throughout the state’s public child welfare system. The School of Social Work at Rutgers University coordinates the statewide partnership along with Stockton University, its fellow University Partner. The New Jersey Child Welfare Training Partnership-Southern Region is responsible for coordinating and developing training for employees of the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency working in local and area offices throughout the southern region of the state.
The project now serves over 2,600 case carrying staff and covers Atlantic, Burlington,
Cape May, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Monmouth, Ocean, Salem,
Somerset, and Warren counties. The courses are designed to expand the scope and depth
of in-service training for workers, and will focus on skills and capacities that are
needed to implement the Division of Child Protection and Permanency's Case Practice
Model.
