Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging has a leadership role in advancing and supporting these efforts across Stockton University. The office collaborates with others on and off campus to support the implementation of the University’s 2025 Strategic Plan Diversity and Inclusion theme and Inclusive Student Success theme. The office oversees several committees, groups, and programs addressing diversity, inclusion, and social justice that include, but may not be limited to, the following.
- The Committee on Campus Diversity and Inclusive Excellence (CCDIE) that serves as an advisory body to the President and the Chief Officer. Through its working committees, the CCDIE also assists the University in making progress on its aspirational goals contained in the Statement on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
- The ADA-Rehabilitation Act Steering Committee that serves to assist the University in its disability, accessibility, and accommodation efforts.
- The Bias Prevention Education and Review Team (BPERT) that identifies educational opportunities to prevent or address bias on campus.
- The Search Advocate Program that advances Stockton’s strategic diversity goals, equal opportunity principles, and diversity and inclusion values to enhance the integrity and effectiveness of the search and selection process.
The office also administers Stockton’s Code of Ethics under the guidance of the New Jersey State Ethics Commission.
