International Fair Trade Gift Fair
Stockton Action Volunteers for the Environment (SAVE) is partnering with the South
Jersey Fair Trade Alliance (SJFTA) once again to host the 9th Annual International
Gift Fair. The event is free and open to the public and will feature local merchants
selling fair trade products offered by volunteers and local nonprofit organizations
that offer alternative gift options and information on local vendors. For more information,

Indian Dance

Missionary Engagement in Providing Clean Drinking Water
Dozens of missionary organizations have taken on the challenge to supply clean drinking
water to villages throughout the world. This presentation will look at the effectiveness

Lecture on Israel
Despite being only sixty six years old with a population of just over eight million,
despite having to maintain a war footing for almost its entire life, despite having
absorbed more immigrants in relation to its population that any country in history,
ISRAEL’S accomplishments are unsurpassed. Did you know your cell phone, Windows
NT and XP operating systems, and the Pentium microprocessor were developed in Israel
along with the ApiFix system used to correct severe curvature of the spine, the IceCure
Medical’s IceSense3 used to remove benign breast lumps in a 10-minute ultrasound-guided
procedure, MRI-guided focused ultrasound used to destroy tumors and uterine fibroid

The Global Fresh Water Crisis—Challenges and Solutions & The “Glocal” Panel Event:
Water Scarcity as a Local and Global Issue
Gary A. Lamberti, Ph.D., Professor and Chair, Biological Sciences at the University
of Notre Dame will discuss how fresh water is arguably the planet’s most imperiled
resource. With more than one billion people currently lacking access to clean water,
how will the environment and human populations deal with this growing fresh water
crisis, and what are possible solutions to ensuring a plentiful supply of clean fresh
water for future generations? This lecture is presented in collaboration with the
Stockton Center on Successful Aging (SCOSA) and the Notre Dame Club of South Jersey
as part of the Hesburgh Lectures Program (honoring Theodore M. Hesburgh, President
Emeritus of Notre Dame, who recently celebrated his 97th birthday).
