The workshops, sponsored by the Office of Development and Alumni Relations, offers alumni to reconnect while having fun or learning something new on the second Saturday of the month at Stockton University Atlantic City

“We are thrilled with the opportunity to provide family-friendly alumni events while showcasing and providing access to Stockton Atlantic City. In addition to featuring the talents of our alumni and providing a great experience for alumni families, we’ve received terrific feedback about the series and we now see many familiar faces every month,” said Sara Faurot Crowley, director of Alumni Relations at Stockton.

Last weekend, award winning entertainer, Chad Juros ’11 led a magic workshop where he taught children simple tricks that were tons of fun. Not only did they have a blast, but they also learned tricks to improve skills and develop their self-confidence.

Thank you to the Alumni Association for making Stockton University a top choice for my children’s future collegiate experience.”

Previous workshops have included yoga demonstrations by Mary McMonagle ’16, birdhouse making with Russell Konrady, crew supervisor of the Stockton Carpenter Shop, and smartphone photography by Nick Valinote ’92.

Manuel Vasquez-Peralta ’16, who received a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies and is a Stockton employee, brought his seven-year-old daughter Yarianid Vasquez to the January birdhouse-making workshop.

“I definitely can tell you that it was a very entertaining experience. I enjoyed seeing my daughter engaging with other kids and getting to know Stockton’s new facilities. I loved that it gave me the opportunity to expose my daughter to the campus environment and I was even able to talk to her about the idea of a college education,” Vasquez-Peralta said. “This is a great way to give back to the community and at the same time keep our young children interested in or at least familiarized with higher education!”
