Dear Stockton Community,

We are deeply saddened to hear and see the news about the tragedies happening in our Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities during the last several months and earlier this week in the Atlanta, Ga. area.

To our AAPI community, we value you and will continue to work together to address the racism and violence in our community and beyond.

Please know, Stockton University stands firmly in our position that no individual or community should be subjected to hate crimes or harassment of any kind.

Our University has and will continue to stand up against the hateful rhetoric and actions that have become far too commonplace in our society.

Stockton’s community is special as we have demonstrated time and time again that we rally together and support one another when a part of our community is hurting.

As a University, we will continue to strive to do better and to build a kinder and more inclusive community.

Stockton has a Bias Prevention, Education, and Review Team - if you ever witness or experience a bias incident on campus, we strongly encourage you to report an incident through their website or contact Campus Police directly at 609-652-4390.

The University also facilitates access to supportive resources for students and employees.

Students can access supportive resources through our Counseling Center.

Faculty and Staff can access supportive resources through the Employee Assistance Program.

We must remain vigilant in speaking out against racism and bigotry and model the behavior that shows, not just our local community, but the entire world, that humanity is seeing ourselves in others, recognizing our stories are connected. In doing so, we all do our part at contributing to creating safe spaces for everyone.
