Where Are They Now?

 

1984

Jeff Quattrone '84 published his first feature article for Modern Farmer titled "The Legacy of Campbell Soup's Tomato Breeding Program." Quattrone received his bachelor's degree in Art Studies from Stockton. 


1992

James Stern '92, a financial adviser in Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management office in Stuart, Florida, was promoted to senior vice president and senior portfolio management director. Stern received his bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from Stockton. 


1993

Jeff Tognola '93 was named executive vice president and chief experience officer at American Public Education, Inc. He brings more than 25 years of experience in marketing, customer experience, and leadership to his position. Tognola received his bachelor’s degree in Information & Computer Science from Stockton. 


1997

Russell Mueller '97 was promoted to Lieutenant in July 2020 of the Livingston Police Department and was assigned to patrol nights as a shift commander. Mueller received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Stockton. 


1998

Derek Wyatt '98 was promoted to sergeant as part of the Livingston Police Department Detective Bureau. Wyatt received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Stockton. 

Brian Case '98 was appointed vice president of Strategic Planning and Business Development at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. His health care career has been focused on the development and implementation of service line growth strategies and physician recruitment and retention. Case received his bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Stockton.


2005

Susan Adelizzi-Schmidt '05, president of Suasion Communications Group, was awarded a 2021 New Jersey Tourism Excellence Award from the New Jersey Tourism Industry Association (NJTIA). Adelizzi-Schmidt received an MBA from Stockton.


2011

Maria Z. Cortes '11, a Fox Rothschild attorney, was selected by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity to participate in the 2022 Class of Pathfinders—a select group of lawyers recognized for their leadership potential. The Pathfinders program is designed to create a pipeline of diverse attorneys to guide change and foster equity and inclusion in the legal profession. Cortes received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Stockton.

Alyssa Gagliardi '11 is a children’s picture book author who released her eighth book, “The Cousins Sister.” This is the second book in the series titled “The Cousin Sisters, Carnival,” which is now available on Amazon. Her first release, “Boardwalk Fries” is available in a bookstore on Asbury Avenue in Ocean City. Her next two books, “Pretty Petals” and “Becca’s Beach Bliss,” will be released later this year. Gagliardi received her bachelor’s degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Stockton.


2015

Irvin O. Moreno-Rodriguez '15, program assistant of the Sara and Sam Schoffer Holocaust Resource Center at Stockton University, was named to the New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education. Moreno-Rodriguez received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Stockton. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Holocaust and Genocide Studies (MAHG) graduate program.


2016

Carl Archut '16 accepted a new position at the University of California, Davis as director of Development for Regional Giving. In his role, he will be the sole development officer for Texas. Archut received his bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Stockton.


2017

Congratulations to Lieutenant Tracy Stuart ’17 for Stockton’s award-winning K-9 team! Golden Retriever K-9 Freya and her handler, Tracy, took second place in November 2021 for the explosives detection category on ESPN 2’s K9 Detection Dog Challenge, finishing just one point away from the top spot. Stockton’s canine duo was the only team from a higher education police department and the only explosive detection dog team from New Jersey to compete. Stuart received his master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Stockton.


2020

Leah Sadler '20 was named manager of the Mentor 2.0 program for the nonprofit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties. Sadler received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Stockton.

Marquetta Alexander '20 accepted a new position at Clara Maass Medical Center (CMMC), as the director of Diversity and Inclusion. In her role, Alexander ensures culturally competent, patient-centered care is provided to the diverse patient pool at CMMC. Alexander received her Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from Stockton.


2021

Dan Berman '21 joined the WENY news team as an anchor and producer for Good Morning Twin Tiers Weekend – during the week, he serves as a reporter. Berman received his bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Stockton.

Liam James McGettigan '21 guest stars in the CBS Original Series “FBI: Most Wanted.” This is one of his very first mainstream acting experiences. McGettigan received his bachelor’s degree in Literature from Stockton.
