A Message from President Harvey Kesselman

This spring, as we celebrated the achievements and new beginnings of our Class of 2018 graduates, Stockton University also celebrated another monumental occasion with the dedication of the new academic quad expansion on our main campus in Galloway.

The almost 100,000-square-foot academic quad expansion, featuring the Health Sciences Center and Unified Science Center 2, transforms the entrance to the campus, creating an additional space for the University community to gather. The presence of the new buildings is breathtaking, but what is even more impressive are the vast possibilities that exist within those walls.

By opening these new state-of-the-art facilities, we are creating educational opportunities for Stockton students to keep up with technological advancements that are evolving at a rapid pace. Our hope is to not only prepare our students for careers in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), but to be innovators and entrepreneurs in those fields.

This issue of Stockton Now highlights Stockton’s new academic quad expansion and the array of opportunities for students to engage in research projects, acquiring the skills they need to be successful in graduate school and in the job market. Throughout these pages, you will also read inspiring stories about our alumni, like entrepreneurs Dani Corso ’08, Jeannine (DeGrazia) Errico '05 and Erin (Klaas) Buterick '05, as well as our Class of 2018, who are already making their marks on the world.

This fall, we will open Stockton University Atlantic City, featuring an academic center that will offer more than 100 courses and a residential building, which will house more than 530 students. Located on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, the new campus promises a unique beachfront living and learning opportunity for our University community and the region.

As Stockton invests in the future of our students by offering a high-quality, affordable, accessible education, we also invest in the future of New Jersey, graduating a talented workforce who will remain in the state.

I hope you enjoy reading this issue of Stockton Now e-zine.
