The 10th anniversary
G. Larry James Legacy Bike Ride on June 2 registered 160 participants. The annual event is held in memory of 1968
Olympic gold medalist G. Larry James, who was a longtime staff member at Stockton.
This year’s ride raised more than $25,000, bringing the total raised in 10 years to
about $180,000.

The
Graduate Research Symposium on April 27 featured 41 presentations from different disciplines. From the use of
mindfulness meditation to lower blood pressure to “Challenges Facing South Jersey
Historical Preservation,” students represented their research and celebrated their
graduate school journey with the Stockton community.

More than 700 people supported Stockton’s
38th Annual Scholarship Gala at Borgata Hotel Casino on April 28, which along with sponsorships and donations,
raised over $500,000. “Our guiding principle is ‘students first,’ ” said Kesselman,
president of Stockton University. “That is why you are here. Every scholarship makes
it easier for our students to succeed.”

The School of Health Sciences hosted the Bachelor of Science in
Nursing Pinning Ceremony for 30 graduating students on May 10. “You are going to have a front row seat to
some of the most intimate and impactful aspects of people’s lives,” said Coleen Rossi,
RN, MBA, CCM and keynote speaker for the ceremony. “Don’t take it for granted.”

Stockton welcomed
Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic, His Excellency Haris Lalacos, on April 16 for a reception hosted by the Dean C.
and Zoe S. Pappas Interdisciplinary Center for Hellenic Studies. Student veterans
presented Lalacos, who is also a veteran, with a poster of the Student Veterans Organization
logo made up of hundreds of small pictures from their 12-day study tour to Greece.

Career and Internship Fair on April 3 welcomed hiring employers, such as casinos, hotels, social service agencies,
law enforcement and heath care businesses and agencies, to meet and greet with Stockton
students seeking jobs.
