Mukesh N. Roy, MBBS, MPH&TM, DTMH
Dr. Mukesh Roy is presently serving as Director for Emergency Preparedness and Planning for Ocean County Health Department; largest County based health department in NJ.
Previously he worked as the Senior Emergency Preparedness Director for Yale- New Haven Center for Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response. Where he assisted the State of Connecticut in planning and purchase of 100-bed $8.2 million mobile and surge hospital facility (MaSH); one of only four nationally.
Dr. Roy also has experience as a Public Health Epidemiologist for the New York State Department of Health, where he coordinated public health preparedness and strategic national stockpile planning for nine counties. He received the Commissioner’s Recognition Award for New York State Department of Health Smallpox Vaccination Program.
In addition to his work at County, State, and non-profit entities, Dr. Roy is a proud United States Air Force Veteran where he served for 10 years at the Rank of Lt. Col as the Chief of Preventive Medicine, NY State Air National Guard. Previously, Lt. Col Roy served 4 years on active duty in the United States Air Force in the following roles: Deputy Commander of Public Health, Officer in Charge of Medical Intelligence and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Coordinator and after the terrorist attacks of Sep 11, 2001 deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Dr. Roy also has a passion for community service and serves on the Board of Trustees Shore Medical Center, Somers Point, NJ, Stockton University Foundation Board of Directors, The Hughes Center For Public Policy Advisory Board, Stockton University and the Atlantic County Veterans Advisory Board.
