Challenges and Competitions
The Center, through its work with NJCFE, helps coordinate State of New Jersey and southern NJ regional participation by schools and teams in statewide and national challenges and competitions. See NJCFE’s web site for updated information.
NJ Saves, part of America Saves Week (each February- March)

Claim Your Future Game Created by the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME), Maine’s higher education agency, Claim Your Future® is a game that encourages students to explore education after high school, future careers, and money management. The game is either a handheld board or can be played online.

Challenge 1: Track your spending and create a budget. View our online resources tab for spending trackers, apps, and budget resources.
Challenge 2: Start saving. You can start small, and then increase savings over time. Always remember to pay yourself first!
Challenge 3: Create a plan and set goals. Goals can be small like a trip to the movies, or big like buying a home. Writing down goals and ways to achieve them help the goals become a reality!
Challenge 4: Slash your spending. Review your spending tracker and see where cuts can be made to help you achieve your goals.
