with the Stockton Center for
Community Engagement and Service-Learning

We invite you to explore the world of Scholarship of Engagement and Service-Learning and to learn about the ways you can combine your passions and research interests with our expertise in operationalizing civic and community engagement projects and programs. For over 25 years at Stockton, we have developed reciprocal and mutually-beneficial relationships with hundreds of community partners and look forward to creating even more connections that benefit students, faculty, staff and partners into the future.

The CTLD provides consultation, resources, training, and professional development for all faculty and instructional staff on academic assessment, course design and delivery, instructional technology, and career development activities such as new faculty orientation and workshops, tenure and promotion, file construction and peer observation. We offer support related to the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL) activities and issues of academic leadership.  We will customize services to address specific faculty, program, or School needs.  We have services available in specific areas such as academic scholarship (FAWN), diversity, critical thinking, online teaching, research, and more.

Have a great idea for a new program, an innovative approach or a community partner?  Interested in partnering with The Stockton Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning on a grant?  You can contact us here.  We are interested in adding to our connections in the community through partnerships with new non-profits and community partners.  We support both in-person service and virtual service, and have projects that are direct-service, indirect- service, or advocacy and research.  The first step is to reach out to the SCCESL and let us know what you are looking for.
