Save Barnegat Bay
Save Barnegat Bay’s mission is to restore and protect Barnegat Bay and its ecosystem. We advance our mission by being a strong and independent voice for the Bay throughout the watershed. We do this through effective educational programs and targeted advocacy campaigns.
Experiential Learning Experiences available through Stockton’s CCLC include:
Sedge Island Overnight Experience - A fully immersive overnight event at the Sedge Island Natural Resource Education Center. Activities could include kayaking, clamming, eating food from the bay, presentations from local scientists, experts and more. Participants will get the chance to not only experience Barnegat Bay first-hand, but learn about resources for teaching climate change in the classroom and empowering students to do more for our environment with hands-on activities.
Using Local Ecosystems to Teach About Climate Change - Educators will experience best practices for Climate change Education, using local ecosystems in the classroom, teaching educators how to empower students, and hand-on activities they can bring into the classroom.
