Mission
The Stockton University Police Department is dedicated to developing partnerships with the community we serve, including students, staff, and faculty in order to enhance the goal of providing quality higher education in a safe and secure atmosphere. Through these partnerships, we will preserve a learning environment that supports academic freedom, respect for diversity, fair and equal treatment to all, and an open exchange of ideas.

Philosophy
The philosophy of SUPD is expressed in our values. Additionally, employees of the SUPD shall understand the importance of supporting Stockton University’s educational mission, which reads as follows: Stockton University’s mission is to develop engaged and effective citizens with a commitment to life-long learning and the capacity to adapt to change in a multi-cultural, interdependent world. As a public university, Stockton provides an environment for excellence to a diverse student body, including those from underrepresented populations, through an interdisciplinary approach to liberal arts, sciences and professional education.
