Our Mission

The mission of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at Stockton University is to support and expand the University’s commitment to academic excellence, student-faculty research, and community engagement through external funding. We support faculty, staff, and students by:

  • Developing research infrastructure at the University, to include policies and procedures that ensure efficiency and compliance with federal guidelines for grants administration.
  • Providing training for faculty and staff in grant writing and grants administration, as well as human subjects compliance.
  • Supporting faculty and staff in all stages of the pre-award process, from the development and submission of external funding proposals through award set-up.
  • Serving as a research compliance hub for the University, educating the campus community on federal standards for human subjects research and overseeing research compliance through IRB administration.

Our goal is to streamline grants management and research compliance while providing faculty and staff with the support they need to focus on scholarly inquiry, enhance student learning, and to broaden the University’s community impact.

Vision

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs aspires to be a reliable resource, a dynamic partner and valuable advocate in Stockton’s commitment to excellence.
