Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct Banner

Stockton is dedicated to the dissemination of knowledge, the pursuit of truth, the development of students, and the general well-being of society. The Code of Conduct contain essential principles that promote civil and respectful behavior that are fundamental to a realization of these goals. These principles are expressed through five values: integrity, community, social justice, respect, and responsibility. It is the responsibility of all Stockton community members to know the Code of Conduct, uphold the values, and refrain from prohibited conduct.

Students are expected to know and abide by the regulations governing recognized student groups.  Students who join, accept membership or affiliate in any way with a student group whose recognition has been withdrawn are thereby in violation of Stockton University regulations and are subjected to judicial referral to the Campus Hearing Board, which may result in disciplinary action.  Students who assist in perpetuating these organizations are subject to the same disciplinary action.

The University encourages community members to report to University officials all incidents that involve the following actions.

All violations of the Campus Conduct Code have minimum and maximum sanctions.

The minimum outcomes that are given to students who violate the Campus Code of Conduct are determined by the type and severity of the violation. Multiple charges will increase the severity of possible sanctions.

The maximum outcome for all violations of the Campus Conduct Code is Expulsion.

Detailed information about the Code of Conduct and other procedures can be found in the Student Handbook.
