Helpful Tips that Matter When Applying
- Application essays are closely reviewed by the Scholarship Selection Committee. Be sure to follow the prompt and write a thoughtful response. Utilize the Tutoring Center for assistance when crafting your personal statement.
- Well-rounded candidates who are involved are encouraged to apply. GPA is not the sole determinate for selecting recipients. Highlight your extracurricular activities, volunteerism, service-learning, research, internship and employment experiences on your application and in your essay.
- Answer all questions on the application(s). This is how your application will be screened and matched against the 200 Foundation Scholarship opportunities. Qualified students may earn more than one scholarship.
- Make sure you have completed, signed and submitted your application in its entirety. Incomplete applications in “draft” status are ineligible and will not be forwarded to the Scholarship Selection Committee.
- Ask the professor permission first from whom you wish to request a recommendation letter. Give the professor two or three weeks to write it and consider this timeframe when nearing the application deadline.
How to Apply
- Complete the online application(s) (login with university-issued username/password)
- Submit a 250 to 500 word essay. View essay prompts and rubric.
- Provide one letter of recommendation from a Stockton professor or dean (using their stockton.edu email address only)
