Dr. Marissa Levy provides academic leadership to the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Among her many complex and varied responsibilities, Dr. Levy provides direction and oversight to all SOBL programs and initiatives, reviews and evaluates SOBL faculty and programs, oversees all aspects of SOBL operations and represents SOBL and the University at the state and local levels. She currently serves as a community partner for the Coalition for a Safe Community, a civic effort to reduce violence in Pleasantville, Atlantic City, Galloway, and Egg Harbor City, New Jersey. She is also deeply committed to the Atlantic County Recovery Court, which serves to prepare its participants to be successful in the workforce and in life upon completion of the recovery court program, and the AC Collaborative which is a group of social service providers who use data-driven strategies to manage and resolve homelessness in Atlantic County.  Dr. Levy works with the Department of Community Affairs to support local government entities as they increase accountability and transparency in their daily operations. 

Dr. Levy is also Professor of Criminal Justice here at Stockton. Her research interests include crime mapping and crime prevention, successful offender reentry, and program and process evaluations. She also enjoys teaching statistics and courses about crime data. Dr. Levy cares deeply about students' success and persistence. She has recently co-authored a textbook aimed at reducing math anxiety and fear in college students called Statistics for the Terrified Criminologist.  

Douglas' responsibilities include preparing students for senior practicum, matching them with practicum placements, developing new placements, training new internship supervisors, monitoring placements in a liaison role, and assisting students toward integrating theory and concepts with their internship experiences and practice.

Douglas comes with supervisory and clinical experience in mental and behavioral health.

 

Jeff facilitates, monitors, and evaluates the educational placements of MSW students in community-based practicum settings across southern New Jersey. He also vets potential practicum settings, teaches the practicum seminar course, and handles practicum-related curricular and assessment issues for the MSW program.

Rona coordinates practicum and internships for the graduate counseling program.

Lori coordinates student placements for the MSW Program, teaches practicum class and visits students each semester at their internship.She also helps with identifying and establishing partnerships withagencies who provide internship opportunities that meet the CSWE’s Competencies and Practice Behaviors (EPAS).

Hilda helps coordinate practicum education for students in the BSSW program. She instructs practicum education courses. She also helps support student success and resolves BSSW practicum-related challenges. She instructs practicum education courses and reports on students' progress and outcomes to program leadership.She helps with program assessment and accreditation reaffirmation activities for the CSWE Commission on Accreditation.

Christine help coordinate practicum education for students in the BSSW program. She instruct practicum education courses. She also  help support student success and resolve BSSW practicum-related challenges. She come with supervisory and clinical experience in mental and behavioral health.
