By Her Hands & From Her Garden are two exhibits that transport visitors into the intricate world of basket weaving, showcasing this ancient craft's timeless artistry and cultural significance. Against a backdrop of natural fibers, vivid dyes, and a symphony of textures, the exhibit tells a tale of tradition, innovation, and the deep connection between humans and nature. Featuring an collection of baskets crafted by two skilled artisans from New Jersey, the exhibit explores the diverse techniques, patterns, and stories woven into each masterpiece. From functional vessels to sculptural wonders, the display baskets highlight this age-old practice's versatility and beauty.

 Access to Art with the Arc

Access to Art with the Noyes Museum and the Arc of Atlantic County

All are welcome for these introductory artist-led workshops where participants are guided to create a finished piece each class.

The Noyes Access to Art Program offers a comprehensive year-round initiative for children and adults, with a strong emphasis on arts education. It features a wide variety of in-person and virtual art classes, engaging art history sessions, and captivating art exhibitions. Our uniquely crafted programs are designed to involve a wide range of participants, enabling them to discover, explore, and create original works. Retirement Planning for Today

In this course you’ll learn how to: manage investment risks, use new tax laws to your advantage, make informed decisions about your company's retirement plan, and adjust your estate plan to function properly under the new laws.

This comprehensive course on preparing for a comfortable retirement will be taught by Louis T. Barberio, III. The course includes a complimentary one-hour, personalized follow-up meeting for each registrant. You may bring one guest. One workbook per paid registration will be provided.

Rejuvenate Your Retirement

February 24, 2025 & March 3, 2025

2:00pm - 4:00pm

In this course, you will learn how to maintain and increase the benefits of your current retirement plan by discovering new ways to stay mentally, physically, and socially active, as well as learn about important financial topics such as reducing taxes, assessing investment risk, planning for health care needs, and planning your estate. This course will take place over 2, 2-hour long sessions. You may bring one guest. One workbook per paid registration will be provided.

SILL Class: Women's Baseball

Stockton Institute for Lifelong Learning Course

The All-American Girls Professional Baseball League

Tuesdays, April 1, 8, 15, 22 from 12pm-1pm

With a growing need for morale-boosting activities on the home front during WWII, the first women’s professional baseball league was created. Existing from 1943-1954, the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) formed the foundation for women’s professional sports. In this course, learn about history of the league, including the training, rules, and players. Tuition for each four-session SILL course is $45.
Courses are FREE for Atlantic County residents 60 years old or older.

Patty Chappine is an adjunct professor at Stockton University. Her recent book New Jersey Women during World War II: On the Home Front and Abroad was published by Lexington Books in 2024.

Stockton Institute for Lifelong Learning Course

Rosie the Riveter: Women Defense Workers of World War II

Tuesdays, May 6, 13, 20, 27 from 12pm-1pm

During World War II, women worked for the defense industry as welders, riveters, machinists, and much more. In this course, learn about the real-life Rosie the Riveters who stepped into new roles and became an essential part of the war effort. Tuition for each four-session SILL course is $45. Courses are FREE for Atlantic County residents 60 years old or older.

Adler Aphasia Center

The Stockton University Masters of Science in Communication Sciences & Disorders Program has aligned with Adler Aphasia Center to offer twice-monthly free clinics for those suffering from aphasia, a speech and language disorder. The group will meet on the second and fourth Fridays of each month from 10 a.m. – noon at Stockton University’s Kramer Hall, 30 Front St. in downtown Hammonton, N.J.
