Writing Center
The Writing Center offers current Stockton students peer feedback in writing, plus tips for studying.
The mission of Stockton's Writing Center is to help student writers grow and improve
as writers. Because process—not just product—is key, we work with writers at all stages:
parsing assignments, talking out ideas, organizing work, revising, and editing. To
help writers optimize their growth, we suggest coming early (before developing a complete
draft of your work) and returning often.
Whether you're working on assignments for a first-year writing course or drafting
senior projects and grad school applications, the Writing Center can lend a hand.
We work with writers across disciplines, and our student staff, known as peer writers,
represent a broad range of majors. We're a casual environment—somewhere to engage with your peers over writing.
Interested in working with a peer writer? That’s great—come see us any time during
our scheduled hours. In addition to anything you've already thought up or started
drafting, please bring assignment instructions, any feedback you have from your professor
(either on that assignment or prior assignments), and a brain ready to write.
